Independent technical review
Algorithmic trading system audit
Get an independent view of your strategy logic, backtesting evidence, code, and execution risks before committing to a larger build or putting a system into production.
KMG Capital’s Trading System Diagnostic is led directly by founder Jad Kabbaj for trading firms, fintech teams, and quantitative groups.
What the review can cover
Test the assumptions before expanding the system.
The review is scoped around the decision your team needs to make. It can cover the research, implementation, or operational layer that is creating uncertainty.
Strategy rules and assumptions
Clarify how the rules behave, what they depend on, and which data or market conditions could change the conclusion.
Backtesting and validation
Review the testing approach, including costs, out-of-sample results, walk-forward analysis, and parameter sensitivity where relevant.
Code and system design
Assess the implementation, architecture, platform integrations, and the main sources of technical fragility.
Execution and operations
Examine practical risk controls, error handling, monitoring, and the path from research code to a maintainable system.
What you receive
A clear technical decision, with evidence behind it.
The diagnostic ends with written findings that separate confirmed issues from open questions, a prioritized set of next steps, and a review meeting with Jad.
- Review of the agreed strategy, code, tests, or architecture
- Key validation gaps and engineering or execution risks
- A practical roadmap for what to fix, test, or build next
- An optional, separately scoped implementation proposal
The scope, required materials, and fee are agreed before any review begins. A diagnostic assesses the evidence and system; it does not predict or guarantee trading returns.
How it works
Start with the decision, then review only what matters.
- 01
Define the question
Agree on the system, the decision at hand, the review scope, and the materials needed.
- 02
Review the evidence
Examine the agreed strategy rules, backtests, code, architecture, and operational constraints.
- 03
Set the next steps
Discuss the findings, rank the work by importance, and decide whether any follow-up engineering is useful.
Common questions
Before you start
Does an audit tell me whether a strategy will be profitable?
No. It assesses the quality of the available evidence and the system’s technical risks. It is not investment advice and does not guarantee performance.
What should I prepare?
Useful material can include the strategy rules, existing test reports, a system overview, and the specific decision or problem you want reviewed. The required inputs are agreed as part of the scope.
Can KMG Capital implement the recommendations?
Yes, when implementation is a fit. Any follow-up development is scoped and agreed separately after you have reviewed the findings.
Which trading platforms are supported?
KMG Capital lists experience across cTrader, MetaTrader, NinjaTrader, TradingView, QuantConnect, Interactive Brokers, and thinkorswim. The relevant platform and technical scope are confirmed before the review.
Can we work remotely?
Yes. KMG Capital is based in Paris and works with clients internationally.
